BIAS FX Mobile iOS App Is Now FREE!

Positive Grid is offering the BIAS FX Mobile guitar effects app for iOS devices as a free download from the App Store until April 8th, 2020. All in-app purchases will be unlocked entirely free of charge over a 90-day period.

BIAS FX Mobile is the mobile edition of Positive Grid’s flagship BIAS FX 2 desktop software for guitarists. The app has a 4.7-star rating in the App Store. It delivers a wide selection of virtual guitar and bass amplifiers, effect pedals, and guitar cabinets. Thanks to its intuitive touch-oriented user interface, guitarists can easily create custom FX chains using a virtual pedalboard and a flexible guitar rack.

In addition to offering the base BIAS FX Mobile app as a free download, Positive Grid has unlocked all in-app purchases and expansion packs, too. This means that you will get free access to every guitar amp model and every guitar stompbox available in the app. The expansion packs are normally priced around $9.99 per piece. The free expansion packs can be used at no cost for 90 days.

With all expansion packs unlocked, users can choose between 28 different guitar amps and 62 effect pedals. The available effects can be combined to create custom guitar chains which can be saved as presets for later use. BIAS FX Mobile can split the signal to develop parallel FX chains for a fat larger-than-life guitar sound.

BIAS FX Mobile can be used in tandem with Positive Grid’s other apps like BIAS Pedal and BIAS Amp. Any custom effects created in these apps can be loaded in BIAS FX Mobile.

The app also features a built-in guitar tuner, a metronome, a virtual drum machine (based on X Drummer), input and output volume meters, and a detailed routing view for fine-tuning the signal chain. Users can also access their virtual pedalboard and a virtual guitar rack. The dedicated “Live View” mode provides quick access to multiple presets. This way, the user can quickly load an entirely different guitar FX chain with a single touch. Advanced users will also appreciate BIAS FX Mobile’s ultra-low latency and background audio modes, as well as the external MIDI controller support.

If you’re a guitarist who doesn’t shy from using virtual guitar effects, getting BIAS FX Mobile for free is a no-brainer deal. But even if you don’t play the guitar, there’s still a reason to download this app for free. For example, it can work very well as a multi-effect for the Minimoog Model D synthesizer app, which is also a free download at the moment.
