MeldaProduction has released MCharmVerb, a freeware reverb effect in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats for digital audio workstations on PC and Mac.
MCharmVerb is a free reverb plugin based on the powerful MTurboReverb engine developed by MeldaProduction. The developers describe MCharmVerb as a “lush reverb effect that has been released for FREE as a gift for your continued support through all these years.”
See also: Best FREE Reverb VST PluginsThe plugin is based on the complex MTurboReverb engine but it features a much smaller set of control parameters. This is great news for the users (such as myself) who prefer using streamlined and less complicated plugins. I like a reverb plugin that sounds good right out of the box and allows me to adjust its size and tone with just a few mouse clicks. MeldaProduction’s latest freeware offering seems to fit the bill in that regard.
MCharmVerb offers the standard Reverb Size, Length, and Pre-Delay controls, along with a Dry/Wet knob, a Gain control, and the Widening slider for adjusting the stereo width. Also included is a pair of filters (high-pass and low-pass), along with the Damp Low and Damp High tone controls. The damping modules can be bypassed to preserve CPU resources.
Much like the rest of MeldaProduction’s product range, the MCharmVerb features a fully resizable user interface with a wide selection of built-in skins and some useful workflow enhancements. Located at the bottom of the interface, the Designer section will let you store custom presets or fully randomize the control parameters to come up with new reverb sounds. You also get input and output volume meters, a global randomize button, and helpful tooltips for each control parameter.
To download your free copy of MCharmVerb, you will need to download the latest MAudioPlugins installer from MeldaProduction’s website. It includes all the software plugins released by the company and you can choose which ones you want to install on your computer. This kinda sucks if your internet connection is slow.
On the other hand, it gives you the opportunity to install the entire MFreeFXBundle with a single click (that is MeldaProduction’s freeware VST plugins bundle which also includes the MCharmVerb). Also worth noting is that you don’t need to sign up for a user account if you only want to use MeldaProduction’s freeware plugins.

onI highly recommend paying him some bucks for the ‘full’ free Pack. About 27 more than useful tools & good to have in the Bag (DAW).

onMelda’s plugins tend to be highly practical and extremely versatile, and their freebies are certainly appreciated.
I just wish they allowed downloads of individual plugins, because that installation process, having to manually move all the plugs to their custom locations after an update, is sure a pain in the ass.

onYou’re definitely right.

I used the plugins back when they were easy to install and I really liked them but now……no. IMO the best installation process is a simple download of the dll (or zip) and put into a folder wherever I like it.

onI just wish you could install each plugin individually instead of having to download and install all of them. That’s the only reason why I stay away from their free and commercial offerings.

onIf you can’t save your presets without paying, it’s a demo, not ‘free’.
Atme
onNice reverb, but it is not free – you have to pay 49€ to be able to save and load your own presets and to be able to change the GUI size. This is pretty much a demo(ware). Bummer.
