Arturia is letting everyone use the Pigments (€199) hybrid virtual synthesizer plugin for free from April 2nd until July 3rd, 2020.
Pigments is a powerful hybrid virtual synthesizer with multiple synthesis engines that can be used simultaneously. It features a virtual analog synthesis engine with three oscillators, a complex wavetable synthesis engine, a sample-based granular engine. In addition, the synthesizer features a collection of classic analog filter models sourced from the V Collection plugins, as well as a selection of modern filter types for more aggressive and experimental sounds. Multiple filters can be combined in serial and parallel routing.

These can be used both as insert and send effects. Every FX module comes with a set of parameters that can be modulated. Speaking of modulation, Pigments features an advanced modulation system with multiple envelopes, LFO modules, function generators, randomization, and more.

onHello, as far as I see it is their limited test version (no saving, sounds cut off after 20 minutes of use, …)
Not so generous.

onActually, I just double-checked with Arturia. The full version will be free from April 2nd. We just have to wait a few more days. Sorry for the confusion!
Attila
onIt’s April 2nd, and the synth is still not working after 20 minutes of use… Do I miss something?
Tomislav Zlatic
onJust a guess, haven’t tried this myself yet: I presume that you will need to download the installer again – they’ve probably added a new installer to the page, that will enable the extended free trial.
Attila
onThank you, I will try that
Tomislav Zlatic
onDo let us know if it works.

onHate to be That Guy but how does this differ to a working demo?
(Love your website by the way).

onAt the moment it’s just the demo – from April 2nd until June 3rd it will be the full version. My bad for posting this a few days in advance, I thought the freebie deal was already available.

onWhat happens if you record a bunch of presets and use them as part of your commercial creations after the free period has expired. Is it legal?
Tomislav Zlatic
onI am pretty sure that’s OK, but you can always check with Arturia’s support team to be 100% sure.

onSo… who else gonna use this synth almost exclusively and sample the crap outta everything you do with it? Because that is exactly what im gonna do :D If my sounds are good enough and i actually organize and label everything, maybe i should share the sounds for free on here.
Tomislav Zlatic
