Togu Audio Line has released TAL-Chorus-LX, a freeware VST ensemble effect based on the chorus unit found in their fantastic TAL-U-NO-LX virtual synthesizer.
According to Togu Audio Line, this chorus effect is 100% identical to the one included in TAL-U-NO-LX (a virtual synthesizer which is currently priced at $40 in the Togu Audio Line online shop). I was already a fan of Togu Audio Line’s old TAL-Chorus-60 effect and I honestly can’t wait to test this new version (I can only imagine how great it will sound in tandem with the freeware Charlatan synthesizer).
Both the TAL-U-NO-LX synthesizer and the TAL-Chorus-LX effect unit are emulating the sound of Roland’s famous Juno-60 analog synthesizer. Judging by the reactions of the users who own the original hardware instrument, Togu Audio Line got pretty close to it with their emulation. Compared to the previously released TAL-Chorus-60 effect by the same developer, the new version of the plugin should be a much closer emulation of the original chorus unit.
But why would you want to use a chorus effect which doesn’t offer any tweakable parameters apart from dry/wet controls and two presets? The thing is, the original Juno 60 chorus was designed to sound great on an analog synthesizer, so why not have the option to apply that same effect to your favorite VST (or even hardware) synth? This little effect can add a sense of width to pads and leads, and it can also sound amazing on bass patches. I highly recommend checking it our if you’re a fan of fat analog bass sounds.
TAL-Chorus-LX is available for free download via Togu Audio Line (1.7MB download size, ZIP archive, 32-bit & 64-bit VST/AU plugin format for Windows and Mac).

onI know it’s an old post, but never heard of TAL-Chorus-LX. Sounds pretty neat for a free plug-in and I am downloading right now. Thanks for sharing :-)
