Native Instruments have released KOMPLETE START, a freely downloadable bundle of virtual instruments and audio effects for use in any VST, AU, and AAX plugin compatible digital audio workstation on PC and Mac.
KOMPLETE START features six virtual synthesizers, nine sample-based instruments, two effects, over 1,500 audio loops, along with the freeware Player editions of Kontakt and Reaktor. Most of the included content was previously available for free download separately, but interested users can now find them conveniently packed into a single product bundle.

Virtual synthesizers like LazerBass, Carbon 2, and TRK-01 Bass deliver professional-quality electronic sounds which can be further enhanced with the included Supercharger compressor. The Band and World sound packs for Kontakt Player provide classic guitar, bass, ethnic percussion, and drum tones which will be useful to any music composer. Native Instruments have also included a selection of presets from the premium Analog Dreams, Ethereal Earth, and Hybrid Keys sound libraries.
You can hear some of the sounds included in the bundle if you check out Andrew Huang’s video embedded below. It goes to show how much you can do with not much else than these free software instruments. Pair the sounds included in KOMPLETE START with a freeware DAW like SONAR Platinum or Tracktion T7 and let your musical adventures begin.
To grab your free copy of KOMPLETE START, register a user account on the Native Instruments website, click the GET KOMPLETE START button on the product page below and download the Native Access license manager software. Once you’ve installed and launched the manager, log in using your NI account credentials and you’ll be able to install any part of KOMPLETE START individually. The software can be used in any VST, AU, or AAX plugin compatible host or as standalone in the free Komplete Kontrol app.
KOMPLETE START is available for free download via Native Instruments (installation via Native Access, compatible with 32-bit & 64-bit VST/AU/AAX plugin hosts on Windows & MacOS).

onim looking for some good vst before spending a lot of money on something I don’t like. is this real, will it work in reason 10, how I know its free and not a scam?

onIt’s not a scam, but I would recommend to look at free stuff from IK Multimedia instead (custom shop editions). For me their free stuff sounds better then what NI provides, and you can test any paid plugin for free before you purchase it.

ongee nine whole instruments, hold me back
probably worth checking for free if you don’t have anything better, but I’d never buy their stuff. their UI is terrible and having like 800 different file extensions is ridiculously and unnecessarily complex. and even if that weren’t all true, the idea of a “middle man” between my DAW and the VI I want to play is annoying and stupid. no thx.

onIf you can ever get any of it to work with your daw you might like it! Check out how many videos on YouTube offer help setting up to give you an idea of just how bad this software really is!!
