Free Ensoniq ESQ-1 Cassette Sample Pack By Neil Paddock (Part 1)

ESQ-1 Cassette is a free sample library created by Neil Paddock, featuring a set of multi-sampled Ensoniq ESQ-1 instrument patches. The first part of the sound library is proudly hosted by Bedroom Producers Blog with permission of the author.

The sounds (originating from the ESQ-1 factory programs and sequence data cassette) were recorded and edited by Neil Paddock of How To Program Drums, who has also included a useful set of instrument patches for Native Instruments Kontakt and all SFZ compatible samplers. The library includes the individual WAV files as well, just in case you want to use a different sampler for these sounds.

ESQ-1 Cassette sample library will consist of two parts, featuring 22 patches in total. The first part of the library (available for free download on this page) contains the following eleven multi-sampled Ensoniq ESQ-1 patches:

1. EOWW – An aggressive lead sound.
2. AFTGLO – A dreamy bell sound.
3. AIR – Classic 80’s synth choir sound.
4. ANSYN1 – Synth string sound, nice with arpeggiator.
5. BASIC – A very basic synth sound.
6. BASS 1.0 – A nice fruity bass guitar sound.
7. BNDBEL – Like it suggests, a ‘bendy’ bell sound.
8. BO STR – Excellent orchestral string sound.
9. CELLOS – More strings – a little deeper – nice with arpeggiator.
10. ELEPNO – A warm and bright electric piano.
11. FUZGTR – a reedy sound – probably needs additional distortion to be really true to its name.

The second part of the pack will be released three weeks from now and hosted on Neil Paddock’s website. The release will be announced on Bedroom Producers Blog, so stay tuned!
