Backing off the input gain by about 18 decibels results in a more linear default behavior (…but the output recovery gain maxes out at only +12. Hrmm). Not super feeling the actual distortion tone personally, just as when i demoed the full version of Punish previously. Seems focused on upper mids the more you push it, so could be great for adding “bite” to growly electric guitars and synths. Pretty awesome metallic dragon wormhole scales visual thing on the GUI, for whatever that’s worth.
