In reply to MRG. I recently tested Kilohearts Transient Shaper and it couldn't be easier to use. The visual feedback really speeds up the process. Still every time I want to modify the attack or get a little more creative I reach for the Flux BitterSweet.

And if we’re talking older but better (as in more controls) alternatives, Sleepy-Time DSP’s Transient is still my favourite. Unfortunately the official website is gone, those plugins were hosted on BPB at some point.
Sonic Anomaly Transpire is also a nice alternative, also in limbo. :'(
