Re Download Assistant and eLicenser Control Center, couldn’t agree more. What a disgrace. And my problems relate to stuff I paid for. So it’s not confined to the free download space. I actually lose Steinberg plugins after each Cubase software update and I can’t restore them until I go through technical assistance.

Enter My Steinberg & the elicencer & all my confidence turned to mud . .without doubt the most egregious system on planet Earth! Having different logins / passwords for tech support vs store purchases is insanely disruptive till ya figure it out & I’m still waiting for a Black Friday deal (LAST YEAR!) refund for Halion 6 which needs Halion 4 to work (with a price gap of hundreds of $$$’s) but where do you find that info BEFORE you buy? Is it about thinking in another language, like the time-honoured early Japanese help files? Hopefully, 12 will save we committed folk from this bs.

In some of them they almost seem desperate to get our attention and money. Ever since Waves Central 13 was released, I pretty much had to put all their stuff on the shelf. Would have to update entire OS to use the latest releases. Not worth it.

I fought with my Waves crap for 2 hours until I finally broke down and used up my “once a year only” recovery idiocy. Both companies are banned from my computer from now on, until they figure out what century we’re in.
Thanks for the hookup on the piano though! This is my last dance with Steinberg’s downloader :D
