99Sounds has announced the release of MGF Audio, a free collection of analog synthesizer multi-samples, percussive hits, glitchy sound effects and a set of presets for the Ableton Operator virtual instrument.
The included sounds were created by Martin Peploe, a Sydney based sound designer inspired by 90s electronica and IDM. Martin publishes multi-sampled analog synthesizer patches on his Bandcamp page, along with Max for Live and NI Reaktor patches, Ableton Operator presets and various other audio related goodies.

The free sound bank available on 99Sounds covers various aspects of Martin’s sound design work, from vintage synthesizer multi-samples to experimental glitch percussion and field recordings. The samples are provided as 24-bit WAV files (96 kHz stereo), meaning that they can be used with virtually any sampler instrument out there. All of the included multi-samples come with corresponding instrument patches for NI Kontakt.
In my opinion, the sample pack’s highlights are the awesome Roland Juno one-shot samples which were re-sampled from a VHS tape, along with an excellent collection of processed organic percussive hits. I also liked the glitch SFX samples which were created with the Yamaha DX21 hardware synthesizer. If you like the included samples, you should definitely check out the additional free sound libraries available on Marin Peploe’s Bandcamp page.
