I got the whole Syntronik collection for free. Quick impressions : it takes loads of space but it sounds different than “emulated” digital synths to my ears, because it’s essentially a rompler/sampler. If you want full control on the sound for synthesis or sounds design purposes it is definitely not the way to go. But if you want some instant-classic sounds that sound great from the get go and than can be a bit adjusted to fit in your music, it is hard to beat I find. The presets sound warm and rich in my opinion, maybe exactly because it is not synthesized but actually sampled from those classical synths…

Overall an amazing collection imo if you’re looking for some retro sounds, and as usual with IK stuff : underrated

Hi, thank you for this. However, as of today, June 5 at 4:30pm est, the link doesn’t work. It seems Ik’s website is down overall. I’ve tried in Safari and Chrome.

In reply to Big Steve. Yeah, the 180-day period to download the sounds is a bit of a bummer. It's best to keep a backup of the downloaded sounds in a safe place.

Actually pretty impressed with this one. Something to keep in mind is that you might want to keep backups of your sounds. The reason I bring this up is because you can’t re-download them after 180 days without buying sound reactivation credits. If you do lose access to them though and you have to buy the reactivation credits it’s only $10.00 and it reactivates all the sounds in your account. So it’s not all bad. :D

I wonder is this qualitatively any better than the free DiscoDSP OBXd. Anyone tried both to compare?
