AudioThing offers the Effect Bundle (€499 value) for FREE to one lucky BPB reader on Cyber Monday. Keep reading for more info about the bundle and to enter the giveaway.

Most BPB readers are already familiar with AudioThing’s innovative audio effects. The company specializes in developing plugins that either emulate rare vintage gear or bring something completely new to the table.

The Effect Bundle contains all 27 audio effects developed by AudioThing. It’s a long list, so we’ll take a closer look at some of our favorite AudioThing plugins.

“The Effect Bundle features all AudioThing Effects plugins (VST/AU/AAX) with a 60% discount. Ranging from vintage valve emulation to complex convolution processing, this bundle is perfect for every kind of composer, producer, and sound designer.”

Outer Space emulates the famous Roland RE-201 Space Echo. If you like vintage tape echoes, this plugin is a must-have. AudioThing simulates the original unit down to the detail, including all the analog tape imperfections and saturation properties.

Wires is an emulation of a 1970s Soviet wire recorder. Now that’s something you definitely don’t already have in your plugin arsenal.

Things – Motor is a morphing rotor effect. It uses side-chaining to combine signals in new and interesting ways.

Things – Bubbles is the latest AudioThing plugin, and it’s available as a FREE bonus with any purchase during the Black Friday sale. It is an innovative sound design tool based on a filterbank delay.

And those are just a few of our tried-and-tested AudioThing favorites. The full bundle contains 27 plugins, and one lucky BPB reader will get it for FREE on Cyber Monday.

On a related note, AudioThing recently launched the Black Friday sale, offering a 30% OFF discount on all products.

My favourite sound design tool is Sonnox Claro. I bought it only a few weeks ago, but its brilliant and useful “three stages” workflow has made Claro quickly become my favourite tool. It provides the right tools at the right time.

  2. Boy, that was about the longest way to the comment section ever.

Can’t lie, it is still Valhalla Supermassive that I grab by default :)

  3. Any frequency shifter, my go-to being Kilohearts’ own take on it. Simple and effective.
I can also recommend Full bucket Music’s frequency shifter, if a bit more complexity is required.

  4. Soundtoys Echoboy – can be used for so many more things than just delay!
That.. and bleed from other sources into a mic or not close micing things :)

Dub-style feedback loops using a spring reverb plugin racked and macro’d with Ableton’s Spectral FX units. Don’t forget to mono that business!

  6. Distortion plugins! Izotope trash used to be my favourite (but sadly is going to be discontinued), all the different types of distortion can give vst’s and recordings so much character or change the sound completely

  7. Shaperbox 3 by Cableguys has been keeping my juices flowing since release, so its my current fav. This mught change if i win ;D

  8. As a tool in general, I’ve got to say LFOs. LFOs everywhere: pitch, delay time, filters cutoffs. I’m also trying to mess up with Gatelab as a midi send device.

  9. A corrupt install of the Thumbjam app on my Ipad makes some wild sounds…haven’t bothered to fix it and use the actuall app :D

Wave Box from AudioThing. I think I got it for free. I like how it works. But in order not to think that I’m being sycophantic, I’ll also mention Giant Verb. This is probably the best reverb plugin for me. I add it virtually everywhere!

  11. What is your favorite sound design tool? – Filterjam ( A quick and easy way to decorate or completely change the sound the way you need it )

  12. XLN Audio RC-20. So versatile, I get a big grin every time I put it in the mix. Also the first plugin to take my money! 😄

  13. I use almost most of these filter plugins, I can’t say which one is my favorite, good quality and easy to use, this is a generous gift, thanks

  14. Smooth Operator -especially for bringing out lower mid tones from my instruments.
And recently Little Radiator -perfect now in wintertime to warm up my sounds

  15. If I had to choose just only one tool, I would go with Unfiltered Audio Triad because of the variety of effects and the multiband capability.

    Thanks for the giveaway!
