AVA Mastering EQ by Harrison Consoles is FREE at Plugin Boutique for a limited time.
The Harrison Consoles AVA Mastering EQ plugin has a list price of €93, and it’s available entirely free until June 9th, 2022. It is a full-range EQ with 31 control bands that range from 20Hz to 20kHz.
The special design of the bands lets you draw a flat line across adjacent frequencies. This design makes it easy to boost or cut wide ranges without sounding forced or unnatural.
The plugin has a +/-4dB scale by default, but if you move beyond 4dB, the scale will adjust to follow your movement (up to +/-14dB).
The intuitive and responsive GUI makes this plugin a flexible EQ that turns subtle or dramatic changes into a simple task.
The user-friendly GUI allows you to draw accurate EQ curves quickly. You can draw your EQ curve freehand as you can on many other plugins, but an excellent smooth function helps you tidy up any stray points. It’s easy to clear and start over if need be, too.
Harrison Consoles say AVA Mastering EQ makes it easy to recreate classic tones like Pultec, Tilt, and Baxandall.
The EQ has high-pass and low-pass filters with a selectable slope between 6dB/octave and 12dB/octave. It also features a 15dB Trim.
You’ll notice a little ear icon at the top right corner of the GUI, which is a momentary bypass switch that activates when held until let go. Next to it, you’ll see a gear icon that opens up a menu of interface options like resizing and theme selection.

onWindows users: Can anyone tell me where in the world the VST2 files install to? I only checked for 64-bit versions of VST2 and VST3. I found the VST3 files in the typical VST3 installation folder, but I cannot for the life of me find the VST2 files (this is why all installers REALLY should give you the option of installation location – I am flabbergasted as to why this isn’t a standard as it would prevent tons of installation problems). I’ve checked:
Program Files, Program Data, Program Files (x86) on my C drive
Within those folders, I checked through the Common Files folders and the previously named folders for Steinberg, VST2, Vstplugins, and Harrison folders with NOTHING. Please, can anyone help me out here? This is beyond annoying.
