onFrom a little google search i can see this bundle is older than 2003 :) Im sure things has been added and i know the UI has been updated but it’s still amazing that users find them to still have the high quality worth $2000! (or $200 with this push)
Did they struck coding gold back then so their plugins are still better than valhalla, klanghelm and all the others?
Yes, some sort of smug questioning is included in my post. But if the plugins really hold their worth today i find it pretty amazing.
As a comparison, a search for vst synths from same time gives results as Crystal and Green Oak.

onI agree, there are so many amazing plugins and plugin developers now that it’s almost hard to believe. I’d add FabFilter to the list, U-He of course, Sound Radix, etc. What an amazing time to be a musician!
As for the bundle, yeah it’s pretty old, but Waves have included some new plugins in it, and it’s an all-in-one collection of almost any type of tool you’d need for mixing and mastering. And they’re all industry standard plugins used in professional studios. So yeah, certainly not the single best collection of plugins out there, but a pretty sweet deal nonetheless.

onI have to agree with Björn on this one, but they still other usable tools. Scalable or updated interfaces would a good start for improvement and usability.
Anyway, regardless.
SSL G-Channel is being sold as a single plugin for the first time, at a price of $29, for a limited period.
The benefit of these older plugins is that there are more CPU efficient on modern systems, allow a greater channel count.
I still have lots of praise for the smaller developers like Toneboosters, Klanghelm, Sknote, LSR Audio, Hornet plugins, etc. They usually have up to date or recent versions of their software, allowing for advances in technology, all at fair prices.

onYeah, Waves plugins are still considered to be the industry-standard tools by most professionals. But there are plenty other amazing (and often equally good or even better) plugins to choose from out there nowadays.
