ViatorDSP releases Voice Leveler, Voice Sweetener, and Voice Leveler, a trio of freeware vocal processing plugins for Windows and macOS.
There is certainly something quite inspiring about tweaking around knobs and tweaking your processors to get the sound you want. However, this isn’t always the best outcome, and if you are pressed for time, you might need results fast.
ViatorDSP’s Voice Leveler falls firmly towards the sake of convenience. It is intended for podcasts and the like, but there’s nothing stopping you from using it on other material.
The controls are also dead simple, with a single knob to control everything. Now, turning the knob more to the right applies more compression and limiting, while you get more gentle leveling when only gradually raising it on the left.
Voice Leveler works splendidly and is handy for easing up inconsistent vocal takes or making sure your podcast sounds uniform. You could, of course, spend precious minutes tweaking a vocal chain, but you can get your episodes out the door much faster with help from Vocal Leveler.
Voice Leveler is part of a trio of freely available plugins for the same podcasting niche. In addition to Voice Leveler, you have Voice Sweetener and a free denoiser. This trio of effects is worthy for music and podcast production alike.
It is a bit unorthodox, but I did find Voice Leveler worked quite well on some more nuanced guitar takes I had. I could’ve realistically spent a little while dialing in compression on each individual guitar channel, but I was able to smash the bus into submission fairly quickly thanks to this utility.
Now, there is, of course, still room in the wild for more tweakable compressors and equalizers. Sometimes, it is just nice to take some of the guesswork out of what you’re doing.
I’ve lost track of how many times I get caught up trying to dial the release in just right and then second-guess every single decision I’ve made in my entire mixing career.
Vocal Leveler is available for Windows and Mac computers. Supported plugin formats are VST3 and AU. It is an absolute must if you’re involved in any sort of vocal-centric production or mixing.

onI’ll test them out and compare them to other similar tools instead of just assume they are great.
Had issues with stability with Viator plugins previously.

onI had issues with Viator plugins as well. No sound or not recognized by mixbus 32c v8.
