Marco Scherer of Drum Depot has released Brute Drums, a free collection of drum samples captured from the Arturia DrumBrute analog drum machine.
Brute Drums is a freely downloadable sample pack which contains 24 original electronic drum kits crafted using the DrumBrute analog drum machine by Arturia. Each kit consists of twelve drum hits, adding up to 288 drum samples and 154 MB of data in total. All samples are provided in 24-bit WAV format, along with the drum kit presets for NI Kontakt, NI Battery, NI Maschine, Ableton Live, FXpansion Geist, and SFZ.

This way, users who only need a snare sample or a kick drum can find them all conveniently grouped into a single folder. The sample pack also includes a rather large library of drum grooves in MIDI format. These were made to be compatible with the provided drum kit mappings right out of the box. That said, one can always tweak the MIDI sequences manually in the piano roll if some remapping is required for use with other sound packs.
Brute Drums can be downloaded completely free of charge from the Rekkerd page linked below. No signup or registration is required, simply click the download link to get your Arturia DrumBrute sounds for free. If you’re looking for a free sampler VST plugin to load the included drum kits in SFZ format, we highly recommend Grace by One Small Clue and Zampler RX by Beat Magazine.
On a related note, Drum Depot has recently released the Blck_Noir (€9.90) sample library which contains eighteen analog drum kits made with the Blck_Noir drum module by Endorphin.es. Once again, there are 288 drum samples in total, along with over 100 MIDI sequences and drum kit mappings for all popular sampler platforms.
Brute Drums is available for free download via Rekkerd (123 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 288 drum samples in 24-bit WAV format).
