Production Voices has released Electric V LE, a freely downloadable (pay what you want) electric piano sample library for Plogue sforzando.
Electric V LE is a sample library featuring the sounds of a 1984 Mark V mechanical tine electric piano. It is a “Lite Edition” of the much larger Electric V ($79) sound library from the same company. The freely downloadable Electric V LE comes with 16-bit quality samples (downsampled from the original 24-bit source samples) and features a smaller number of presets, velocity layers, and a narrower key range. Its download size is 221 MB, as opposed to the 1.83 GB size of the full product.

The user can access the volume, tone, drive, and release volume controls right from the front panel. It is also possible to fine-tune the built-in vibrato, tremolo, chorus, auto-pan, and auto-wah effects. The instrument panel is the same as in the full version of Electric V.
Despite its limitations when compared to the full product, Electric V LE is still an excellent Mark V sample library. It features high-quality samples and provides enough depth to ensure an expressive performance. Its compact size and low memory footprint might actually be a benefit for some users.
The library is compatible with Plogue sforzando and all other sampler plugins capable of loading SFZ patches or FLAC samples. The custom user interface is only available in sforzando, though. Plogue sforzando is compatible with all DAW software capable of hosting VST, AU, and AAX plugins.
To download your free copy of Electric V LE, visit the product page linked below and complete the checkout process. You can enter any price before adding the product to the shopping cart. User account registration is not required.

oncan’t seem to find a download button. the only thing there is a checkout page that still expects me to fill out a form with information i don’t have… guess i’ll have to wait until the webpage gets fixed.
also speaking of this post got flagged as spam for some reason and i have no idea if it got through or not.

onAny time I see a SFZ instrument it makes me happy, the walled garden of kontakt isn’t good longterm for the growth of sample based synthesis.

onTomislav, you should write a review about Unreal Instruments instruments. They are doing a good job with really good sfz libraries.
