Not exactly free (you need Reaktor) but the old Spacemaster ensembles still sound good for those out there spaces.

In reply to Tomislav Zlatic. I bought Blackhole during one of those crazy flash sales. A month later, Valhalla released Supermassive. I also have Frostbite and I concur with the rankings. But I still use Blackhole every now and then because I did pay for it.

The reason the Blackhole UI looks like that is because it’s a plugin version of the Space Reverb pedal Eventide used to make a few years ago, knobs and all. Nothing to do with emulating a time period piece of gear. This plugin is specifically lifted from one of the H9 pedal algorithms.

I have all but Spaced Out, but should say that between Supermassive and Blackhole I get most of the long-tail more or less modulated spaces I need.
I would however not include Frostbite, since it’s a completely different beast, and insert two other Audiority plugins into this shootout, Polaris (Ursa Major hardware emulation with extra features) and Xenoverb (it just has so much in it!) for sheer variety of sound and quality, as well as the once-free Ambient Reverb by Stone Voices, and the free and excellent Cloud Seed by ValdemarOrn.
As I write, other processors come to mind (Sanford Reverb, OrilRiver, Line 6 Pod Farm Hall Reverb, Phoenixverb, Waves H-Reverb, Surreal Machines Modnetic, etc.).

Anyway, good stuff!

GiantVerb and CloudSeed could also be attributed to this type of reverberation as for me … And since the theme is worthy, I did not even know about the existence of Spaced Out :)

I got Blackhole at a flash sale and use it a lot. But, yeah, Eventide’s prices are ridiculous. Supermassive is great! Never used the other two. I may get Spaced Out sometime.
