Spitfire Audio Releases Free LABS Mandolin Sound Library

Spitfire Audio has released LABS Mandolin, a free mandolin sound library for the freeware LABS sound module plugin.

LABS Mandolin captures the full tonal range of a classic mandolin. The samples were recorded at Spitfire HQ studios, including a variety of articulations. The library features picked and fingered playing styles, along with tremolo and ensemble. It seems that the samples weren’t processed apart from standard editing, so you’re getting a clean and completely natural mandolin sound. This library is the follow-up to the previously released Granular Whalesong.

As is always the case with LABS sound libraries, the interface is streamlined and easy to use. The user can choose between multiple articulations via the patch browser and adjust a few basic parameters like the output volume and reverb amount. And that’s pretty much it – a great sounding virtual instrument that’s super easy to tweak and play.
