Andreas T. Music has released Crystal Glass, a free melodic percussion sound library for Native Instruments Kontakt (also includes WAV samples).
You can now play melodies using a virtual set of crystal glass. Add the sparkly chimes of crystal glasses to your music and use them as the lead instrument or for layering on top of other tracks.

This way, some beautiful percussive and pad sounds can be obtained – especially when you introduce some effects like delay and reverb.
Crystal Glass offers two patches to get you started and works across the full piano keyboard range. The instrument patch features percussion and pad keyswitches, along with a complete choice of effects. You get low-pass and high-pass filters, distortion, compressor, EQ, chorus, flanger, phaser, delay, and reverb. With crystal glasses as the audio source, these effects can take the sampled sounds to countless different dimensions.
In addition to the raw sound of crystal glasses, Andreas has also included a pad sound that was created by processing the source samples. This second patch sounds very good in combination with a lush and spacious reverb effect.
The library requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.8.1 or later. Unfortunately, the included NKI patch is not compatible with the free Kontakt Player. However, the download also contains the individual crystal glass samples in WAV format. You can use these in any digital audio workstation or sampler plugin.
