Ignite Amps has released NadIR, a free zero latency guitar cabinet impulse response loader in VST and AU plugin formats. It is available for use in any compatible digital audio workstation on Windows and MacOS.
Ignite Amps has released NadIR, an impulse response convolver for guitar and bass cabinet simulation. NadIR is meant to be used as a cabinet simulator for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of VST or AU Plug-Ins support.
The plugin is designed to provide superb sound quality with a low CPU hit. It features zero latency, making it suitable for use in live situations and tracking. It also features high-quality analog-modeled filters and delays for tweaking the phase of loaded impulse responses. The plugin can work in mono, dual mono, and stereo mode.
Ignite Amps are my favorite guitar software developers along with LePou. I use The Anvil guitar amp simulation for clean tones all the time and I’m really eager to test their new IR loader.

I haven’t used IRs at all until now but I think I might be using them frequently.

onThat’s for a set of impulse packs. The IR host itself, along with the Emissary amp sim, is freeware. You still have to load speaker IRs into NadIR. I’ve been on this since NadIR 1.0.
